JCS was founded by Eva Lois Johnson McCandless, in 1981. It is the philosophy of the school to provide for each student a firm, controlled, but kind atmosphere in which to study and learn. A traditional textbook approach and/or our own curriculum development will be led by a teacher in all subjects. The school endeavors to meet the educational needs of each individual in this framework.
Certification
Johnson Christian School is approved and licensed by the State of Washington Division of Private Schools. Our high school students are accredited for graduation. This approval does not mean that we are bound to any imposed state control over our Christian beliefs, our Christian position, or of the teaching of the Bible and its principles.
Bible Doctrine Based
Johnson Christian School operates from a strong biblical base. It does not compromise biblical doctrine. However doctrine that is unique to a given church is not imposed on a student.
Qualified Christian Teachers
Those who teach in Johnson Christian School will either be certified or under supervision of a teacher who is certified to teach in Washington State. Each certified teacher is required to be a Christian.

Head north on Highway 395 until you reach Colville. At the traffic circle, head straight through to Main St. Turn right at E. Columbia Ave. until you reach 760 E Columbia Ave. The school is located on the right hand side.
